Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated with science, how things work, and how our our lives are impacted by technologies. Technology in the right hands changes the world and improves our lives - and helping to realize this remains my passion and motivation for The Bye Group.

Focused on math and science through high school and engineering degrees at MIT, I’ve spent my life deepening my knowledge of technologies and systems and how to apply them to solve real world problems. With particular depth in chemistry, polymers, energy, and industrial production, I have had the good fortune to lead multiple technology-based enterprises, across three continents, to extraordinary results. 

Seeing so many companies both from the inside as a leader and from the outside as an investor and board member has taught me a lot.  First and foremost, that leadership is the greatest differentiator of success. John Maxwell had it right when he said that “People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision”. Having a clear and compelling strategy are important but it only leads to victory when combined with the right CEO and executive team. 

It is the leadership, not the strategy, that creates the energy and captures the imagination of the broader team that’s needed to truly deliver the extraordinary. There’s nothing quite like that high-five moment of making a shared vision a reality.
